Social Science Data Lab

Welcome to the SSDL at Dartmouth!

The Social Science Data Lab aims to advance data-driven research in the social sciences by acting as a resource for students and faculty in Economics, Government, and Quantitative Social Science. The SSDL provides comprehensive support throughout the quantitative research process, from initial planning and design to final analysis, interpretation, and presentation. The lab is staffed by Data Scientists proficient in Python, R, and Stata, among other popular programming languages and statistical analysis softwares. One-on-one consultations, workshops and training sessions, and faculty research support are just a few of the services available through the SSDL.
